Napa Valley Wedding Photographer
Amid the laughter, chaos, hugs, tears and romance, I stand ready with my camera to photograph these emotions so that you will be able to relive these moments for a lifetime.
We photograph weddings throughout the Napa Valley including: Napa, Yountville, St. Helena, Calistoga, Rutherford, Sonoma, and Petaluma. The Napa Valley and the surrounding area is noted as one of the most beautiful places on earth for wedding photography. As wedding photographers, we appreciate the amazing venues, dramatic scenery, and excellent weather.
Among the top venues in the Napa area that you might choose, we have experience at Meadowood, Beaulieu Gardens, Auberge du Soleil, B.R. Cohn Winery, Cline Cellars, Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn, Gloria Ferrer Champagne Caves, Harvest Inn, Landmark Vineyards, Madrona Manor, Sea Ranch Lodge, Sebastiani Vineyards and Winery, Trentadue Winery, Viansa Winery, Churchill Manor, Harvest Inn, Silverado Resort, V. Sattui Winery, Hans Fahden Vinyards, CIA (St. Helena), Atwood Ranch, Charles Krug Winery, Bohemian Grove, Beltane Ranch, and the Napa River Inn. Of course, we are available to photograph your wedding at any venue or even in your back yard.

After enjoying our ten years in Maui photographing weddings, we have decided to return to Napa. Our clients love the fact that we include all of their requested photographs, as well as those spontaneous moments of people caught unaware. We want you to know that your wedding will be photographed by Bill Stockwell, not an associate. Please check out our Testimonials Page where you can read client reviews. The Bill Stockwell Photojournalistic Wedding Photography Philosophy
In the 1960's, my father created and wrote the book (literally) on the photojournalistic approach to shooting a wedding. He added romance and artistry to what was, at the time, a drab series of group photos and formals, totally lacking artistic merit. We conducted seminars worldwide to the biggest names in the photographic industry. Under his mentorship I came to understand that every bride and groom has their own unique story to tell.
Have we done away with the traditional posed shots? Of course not. Family groups, wedding party photos and formal portraits are still an essential part of every wedding story. I do, however, complete all formals and groups within ten to twenty minutes following the ceremony. I insist that you enjoy your wedding and that I am not a nightmarish memory. My favorite compliment is, "we hardly remember your being there, Bill. Where did all these amazing pictures come from?"
